Today, at Target...

I'm in the check-out lane at Target this afternoon and both children, each clutching a new toy, are crying as I pry it out of their nasty hands to give to the cashier. The couple behind me are about my parents age which is mid 60s and new to retirement. You can tell these two have grandchildren, because they were really patient, which was incredible considering the scene my kids displayed.

I joked and said to her, "I'm on a LOT of prayer lists." The couple erupted with laughter. Sometimes, when my roommates* get the best of me, and I consider life as a waitress in a distant city may be worth entertaining, I try to find humor in the situation that faces me. How do you cope with stressful situations?
