The Roommates
More often than not, I refer to my children as roommates. This cynical reference to my kiddos can really strike a cord of annoyance, especially with my mother, which I find hilarious. But, really children have got to be the most disgusting people I have ever lived with and they do not give a poop about contributing to our household. Right now you're thinking, "damn, Lindsey. They are only 2.5 and 5 years old. Give them a break." But let me be real, they need to step-up and contribute before I become a slave to their groove. So, how does one go about getting a preschooler and elementry student to help out in the home with chores like picking up their room, cleaning a bathroom sink, washing the windows, dusting the furniture, or even dare I say getting dinner ready and on the table?
